What can we laser engrave?
Our advanced laser engraving machine park, consisting of Nd-YAG, fiber, CO2, and UV lasers, enables us to perform precise laser engraving for a wide range of purposes where readability and precision are important. For example, we offer durable marking of both Logos, text, text inscriptions, consecutive numbering, QR codes, measuring scales, patterns, design markings, and machine plates. We can customize the task for both small and large parts, ensuring you get the optimal result, whether it's a small, intricate laser engraving on a micro-component or a larger engraving.
Depending on the specific component and the desired visual effect, we also master various techniques for the engraving itself. This means we can perform both fine surface engraving and distinct deep engraving.
Materials for laser engraving
Flexibility is one of our absolute greatest strengths, and at Covi Precision, we can perform laser engraving on a wide variety of materials. In our daily work, we engrave metals such as stainless steel, all kinds of metals, and special alloys, where the concentrated laser beam creates sharp contrast. Additionally, we have built significant expertise in laser engraving plastics, glass, foils, and foam.
In addition to the wide range of materials, we also master laser engraving on many different geometries. This means that we can mark your items with exactly the same consistency, whether it involves completely flat surfaces, curved items, round cylinders, or more complex surfaces.
3 different types of lasers for engraving
To guarantee uncompromising surface quality and the necessary versatility, we have three different types of laser light for industrial laser engraving.
We use, among other things, a highly efficient Fiber laser, which is particularly well-suited for creating high-contrast and precise laser engraving on metallic materials. The fiber laser ensures a stable process where energy input is controlled at the micrometer level, which is crucial when marking fine mechanical components or complex measuring scales with absolute accuracy.
For tasks where materials require a different wavelength, we supplement our setup with UV laser and CO2 laser. These two technologies enable us to perform extremely gentle and razor-sharp laser engraving on more sensitive materials such as selected plastics, technical films, glass, and packaging.
By having access to three types of lasers for laser engraving, we achieve enormous flexibility, which makes it possible to choose the most technologically optimal solution for the specific surface.
Laser engraving on your own components or your items
At Covi Precision, we work with laser engraving in two ways. Firstly, we perform functional laser engraving on our own manufactured components, where the marking is an integral part of a total solution. This means we can manage the entire value chain – right from the initial laser cutting, laser welding and bending for subsequent laser engraving – so you receive a completely finished product from one supplier.
In addition, we offer pure subcontracting services, where we perform professional laser engraving on customer-supplied items, semi-finished products, and finished goods. Many of our regular partners choose to bring their own components, molds, or machine parts directly to our facility, after which we perform the agreed-upon laser engraving.
This flexibility makes us a versatile partner that can quickly step in and solve the labeling task, regardless of whether the items are produced by us or in your own production.
