Labor and human rights

Covi is committed to respecting and protecting human rights in all aspects of our business activities. We strive to ensure decent working conditions and fair treatment of all employees and stakeholders.

1. Freedom and equal treatment:

  • Covi does not discriminate based on gender, age, race, religion, sexual orientation, disability, political beliefs.
  • We do not tolerate harassment and bullying.

2. Working conditions and safety:

  • Covi ensures healthy working conditions in accordance with Danish legislation.
  • We are committed to minimizing workplace accidents. Our goal is 0 accidents.

3. Forced and child labor 

  • Covi has a zero tolerance policy towards any form of forced and child labor.
  • This also applies to our stakeholders who are expected to adhere to the same standards.

4. Wages and working hours

  • We ensure that working conditions comply with Danish legislation and applicable collective agreements.
  • Working hours comply with national laws and guidelines.

5. Freedom of association and collective bargaining

  • Covi respects the right of all employees to form and join a trade union of their choice in accordance with Danish law.
  • Employees should be able to freely communicate and share ideas and concerns with management without fear of retaliation.

6 Implementation and responsibilities

  • We encourage all employees and stakeholders to report any human rights violations without fear of retaliation.
  • Covi will continuously assess and improve our policy to ensure compliance with applicable laws.

The above is described in the procedures in the Management System, which everyone has access to:

  • The Employee Handbook which is available to all employees.
  • AMO (Occupational Health and Safety Organization).
  • Knowledge- competence- responsibility and authority.
  • Legal requirements and standards.

Environmental policy

Covi wants to run its business in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way. Our environmental concerns are prioritized alongside economic and business interests. We actively manage our environmental impacts and work to reduce them wherever possible. Our environmental attitude is translated into practical action with proven results. We want to minimize our environmental impact and contribute to a sustainable and environmentally friendly future through the following principles:

1. Sustainable resource consumption

  • We actively work to reduce waste and minimize the use of resources such as water, energy and materials.
  • We prefer environmentally friendly and sustainably produced materials wherever possible.

2. Energy efficiency and CO2 reduction 

  • We reduce our energy consumption by using energy-efficient solutions and technologies.
  • We choose green energy wherever possible and work to minimize our carbon footprint.

3. Waste management and recycling 

  • We sort and recycle waste to reduce our environmental impact.
  • We ensure proper handling of hazardous waste in accordance with applicable legislation.

4. Environmental awareness and responsibility

  • We involve and train our employees in environmentally friendly ways of working.
  • We ensure that everyone in the company takes responsibility for compliance

5. Continuous improvement  

  • We continuously (at least once a year) evaluate our environmental performance and strive for continuous improvement.
  • We comply with relevant environmental requirements and stay updated on new environmental requirements.

Covi has identified these KPI targets as relevant when implementing the following:

  • Electricity: Installation of solar panels
  • Wastewater with metal dust: Installation of new treatment technology

 

Ethics and ethics

We expect everyone who works for or with Covi to act with high integrity and ensure that all business agreements are transparent and free of illegal or unethical practices. I.e.

1. Zero tolerance

Covi has a zero tolerance policy towards:

  • Bribery
  • Corruption
  • Blackmail
  • Bottom lip

2. Transparency and disclosure of information according to laws and regulations.

  • Labor force
  • Health and safety
  • Environmental practices
  • Business activities and finances

3. Compliance with laws and regulations

  • Covi and its employees must comply with all applicable laws.

4. Fair and equitable treatment of employees and stakeholders

This includes:

  • No discrimination, harassment or bullying.
  • Everyone is treated with respect, dignity and equal opportunity.
